IIIT-Bangalore to Host RISE  – The Hindu

The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B) will host a two-day conclave aimed at promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and collaboration in academia and industry. The RISE (Research, Innovation, Society and Entrepreneurship) Conclave on March 22-23, 2024 promises to be a dynamic gathering of thought leaders, industry experts and academia enthusiasts.

According to a press release, the first day of the conference is scheduled to be held on March 22. The theme of the one-day summit is “Sustaining and Expanding Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Academia.”

Professor Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-Bangalore said, “RISE activities are a central hub for the academic community to address challenges and opportunities in fostering research, innovation and entrepreneurship. Our aim is to inspire and equip academic institutions to become core systems for innovation and entrepreneurship.”

The conference will kick off with the first session chaired by Prof. Srinath Srinivasa, Dean (R&D), IIT Bangalore. Industry stalwarts delivered keynote speeches, including Mr. Chandran Krishnan, founder, managing director and CEO of Campus Angels, and Mr. Uday Prabhu, chief innovation officer of Bosch Global Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd. will initiate the pace of the day’s discussions.
