Heiland has 15 years of experience in the hospitality and technology sectors, having held various positions with hotel operators and suppliers. In his most recent role as Vice President of Hotel Technology at Grader Hotels, he was responsible for developing the overall technology strategy and standardizing the technology stack for approximately 40 hotels. Prior to graduation, he worked as an IT Business Partner at Two Roads Hospitality, where he managed 70 independent hotels and resorts. Earlier, Heiland worked at Oracle, deploying various Opera products.
Mendoza began his tenure at Hyatt Hotels as the technical lead for the online check-in team, where he demonstrated his skills in leading guest experience enhancement projects. During his nearly eight years with the company, he quickly rose from Senior Software Developer to Senior Application Development Manager. He was instrumental in providing free Internet access to hotel guests and led the team responsible for enhancing this critical service. He led the Digital Key team that successfully oversaw the first implementation of hotel room keys in Apple Wallet, further demonstrating his vision for hotel services. This groundbreaking initiative is the result of a multi-stakeholder effort and marks an important milestone in Hyatt’s commitment to digital innovation under Mendoza’s leadership.
