“AIA CAN: The Eco-Office Movement” aims to empower business units to effectively implement sustainable workplace initiatives and inspire behavioral change in six key areas.
AIA Group announces launch of “AIA CAN: Eco-Office Movement” as part of the group’s commitment to fostering a culture of sustainable behaviour.
This large-scale, multi-year program aims to help more than 25,000 employees in 18 markets adopt environmental awareness, attitudes and behaviors to create a more sustainable workplace and a healthier planet. Created in partnership with the Sustainable Living Lab, the program aligns with the Sustainable Operations pillar of AIA’s ESG strategy to support its goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
AIA CAN is designed to enable business units to effectively implement sustainable workplace programs and inspire behavior change in six key areas:
- waste management,
- energy use,
- water consumption,
- travel and communication,
- sustainable sourcing, and
- Environmental health.
To guide their eco-office journey, AIA CAN will provide employees with the following resources and innovative tools:
- A comprehensive guide to running sustainability-related employee programs.
- Self-assessment tools and digital dashboards to track and measure progress.
- The ratings system and awards are designed to encourage participation, reward progress and recognize outstanding achievements in nurturing a sustainable workplace.
- Knowledge base shares best practices and lessons learned.
- Conduct seminars and technical training for ongoing ESG learning programs.
