Coach officially entered the hotel industry with the opening of The Coach restaurant and Coach coffee shop in Grand Indonesia Mall on Friday.
The restaurant and adjacent coffee shop are the first of several dining destinations the brand plans to launch in 2024 and beyond.
Coach’s restaurant draws inspiration from New York City, Coach’s home since 1941. The restaurant reimagines the classic New York steakhouse with Coach craftsmanship, including menu covers and napkin cuffs made from glove-tanned leather, and tableware featuring floral details inspired by the Coach collection. The menu features iconic New York Steakhouse favorites including prime rib, rack of lamb, shrimp cocktail, wedge salads and classic martinis.
Designed by Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers in collaboration with Studio Sofield’s William Sofield, the space pays homage to Coach’s craftsmanship and New York heritage by incorporating natural and industrial materials into refined architectural elements. Notable features include bronze mirrored walls, stainless and black steel staircases and tropical wall paneled wood shutters, creating an intimate and memorable dining experience.
Adjacent to The Coach restaurant, The Coach Coffee Shop adds a playful twist to the classic New York corner store. Featuring a modern attitude, the coffee shop draws on the brand’s origins, serving iconic favorites like pizza and soft-serve ice cream in a space decorated with New York City scenery wallpaper and industrial design elements.
