Trever Schatschneider, Taylor Stephenson and Heather Irby take on new roles at Fort Worth company
(Fort Worth, Texas) – Standard Meat Company Co-President and CEO Ben Rosenthal announced the appointment of Trever Schatschneider as Director of Information Technology at the historic family-owned company, elevating longtime SMC management team members Taylor Stephenson and Heather Irby, respectively. Serves as Senior Director of Business Development and Senior Director of Human Resources and Safety.
Founded in 1935 and headquartered in Fort Worth’s iconic Stockyards, Standard Meat Company (SMC) is a meat processing and packaging company with operations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Saginaw and Pond, Texas factory. As SMC’s new Director of Information Technology, Trever Schatschneider is responsible for all IT services and support, including applications, infrastructure and help desk services. Schatschneider will develop and deliver a comprehensive IT strategy and promote the adoption of tools and technologies that support the achievement of SMC’s business goals and objectives.
Prior to joining Standard Meat, Schatschneider served as senior manager of dealer business systems strategy at Kubota Tractor Company (KTC) in Grapevine, Texas, the U.S. arm of the $16 billion Japanese company. Focus on agricultural, construction and consumer equipment.

Standard Meats also announced the internal promotions of two key management team members: Taylor Stephenson and Heather Irby. Taylor Stephenson, who has been with the company for 12 years, has been promoted to senior director of business development.

Heather Irby, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CCP, a seasoned human resources professional with nearly 20 years of experience, has been named senior director of human resources and safety. Since joining the SMC team in 2021, Heather’s department has grown to over 25 people. In her new role, Heather is responsible for human resources and security leadership and strategy across the SMC organization.
