Swank Construction has applied for a new building permit for 2131 16th Street in Richmond Grove, Sacramento. The scheme will replace the vacant site with 31 homes, almost half the number in the previous scheme. Granite Bay developer Ashria Holdings LLC is handling the application.
The application will generate approximately 32,300 sq ft, including 5,040 sq ft of commercial space. Of the 31 apartments, there will be 21 one-bedrooms and 10 two-bedrooms. Parking spaces can accommodate 16 bicycles and 21 cars.
LCA Architects is responsible for the design. The illustration shows the three-story structure with a brick front facing the corner of 16th and V Streets and an exposed stucco wall facing Uptown Lane. MSLA was responsible for the landscaping and Apex was responsible for the civil engineers.
The 0.44-acre parcel is located on 16th Street between V Street and Uptown Alley. Residents are less than 10 minutes from the 16th Street Light Rail Station and surrounding shops. State Capitol Park is just a 15-minute walk away.
