HospitaBull is an elegant dining experience prepared and served by USF students, raising more than $100,000 to support USF School of Hospitality and Tourism Management scholarships and programs. The twelfth annual event was held on Tuesday, March 26, at award-winning restaurateur and wine professional Michael Klauber’s renowned Sarasota supper club, Michael’s on East.
In addition to providing USF alumni and friends the opportunity to support the USF Sarasota-Manatee School of Hospitality and Tourism Management’s award-winning scholarships and programs, HospitaBull allows students to work closely with a team of culinary professionals and gain valuable practical training.
On Tuesday night, students prepared and served hors d’oeuvres and a three-course meal, including a selection of oven-roasted chicken, spiced beef tenderloin, and vegan tiki masala.
Cihan Cobanoglu, dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, said the annual event “plays a vital role in empowering students by providing financial resources and ensuring they have the tools they need to excel in their careers.”
“I’m filled with gratitude,” Rachel Pisano, a graduate student in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, spoke to the audience during the event. “Grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given, grateful for the relationships I’ve built, and grateful for the unwavering support of those who have been with me every step of the way.”
