A building with creative space and change – This project is an advertising company office building located on the back road of Hedong Road, Jiangnan District. The biggest goal is to distinguish the building as a creative space from the surrounding rental buildings sought. Economical floor area ratio.
We think about how to accommodate the city and nature within the limited scope of the site. This is because, in order to meet the requirements of clients who value individual creativity, easy access to various external spaces in open office spaces will be key to enhancing employee creativity in dense cities. The arrangement of various external spaces allows the city and nature to be naturally connected between the building members, and also allows the limited internal space to continue to expand. It is hoped that the internal and external spaces will create a creative working environment that can meet the diversity of work spaces that change with each generation.
The power of simplicity in new things – the surrounding buildings near the site are composed of old and new buildings. As a result, a large amount of diversity is clustered together and difficult to distinguish. We wanted the entire building to be seen as a single object, amidst the torrent of diversity, limited by the edges of the facade and the proportions of the building. Its design goal was to harmonize the urban landscape with its surroundings through a simple and uncluttered facade.
Five Codes (Hierarchy of External Space) – The external space has a public hierarchy through vertical upwards. The lower floors are as open as possible to visitors to the office building, while the top floors provide spaces for work and employee rest. Its purpose is to differentiate the nature and openness of the external space according to the level of circulation. The planned exterior space will connect the interior of the building with the city, going beyond a simple commercial facility to become the main component of the city’s communication with its surroundings.
