Role overview:
The Sales Team Manager will play a key role in accelerating Smartfruit’s monthly and annual sales revenue by managing and scaling our sales team. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing sales strategies that drive domestic and international growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales management background, with experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
main responsibility:
- Develop and execute targeted lead acquisition strategies for specific categories.
- Organize and supervise trade shows to ensure their flawless execution for maximum benefit.
- Work with Sales Executives to develop strategies and support the expansion of our dealer network and retail operations.
- Incorporate ZoomInfo into your daily and weekly workflow to assist business growth.
- Work with marketing to increase the frequency and effectiveness of direct mail campaigns.
- Increase lead conversion rates by strategically using the Salesforce platform.
- Lead, motivate and manage sales executives and develop plans for future team expansion.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Track sales performance, manage customer relationships, and optimize your sales process with Salesforce.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Smartfruit’s domestic and international market share.
- Work closely with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with overall company goals.
- Apply more structure to sales by developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring team performance.
- Provide ongoing training and development to sales team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Strengthen existing customer relationships:
- Ensure sales representatives effectively cross-sell and up-sell our product line to all customers.
- Maintain strong support for key accounts, including provision of equipment and promotional materials, supplemented by quarterly outreach events.
- Increase distribution of product samples to stimulate sales.
- Increase sales of our review products through strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Department to develop and implement on-site promotional campaigns for our commercial clients.
Team development and management:
- Set and monitor monthly sales goals and KPIs for each sales representative.
- Ensure regular interactions with prospects and customers by having your sales team track Salesforce updates, lead follow-ups, and task completions.
- Hold weekly team meetings with a clear agenda to stay focused and motivated.
- Prepare and submit detailed monthly sales reports to demonstrate departmental key performance indicators and individual sales performance.
qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Sales Manager or similar sales leadership role.
- Very proficient in Salesforce CRM software.
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and execute sales strategies.
- Demonstrated team leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
