Candidate must be passionate about sales and advertising and have the ability to generate sales opportunities and experience integrating content. Must be passionate about developing new business while growing existing business and must be comfortable building strong relationships with key decision makers in the advertising/media space.
The incumbent will help drive the strategy of the individual direct account executive execution team by demonstrating strong leadership, leading by example, and assisting AEs with remediation based on their expertise to achieve established goals.
Main Outputs/Responsibilities
- Manage team performance and provide ongoing feedback to Sales Manager on performance throughout the year
- Develop and grow your team through regular personal training and on-site coaching.
- Portfolio allocation to each member of the management team.
- Track portfolio performance (individual, including entire team)
- Align the team’s strategies and plans with the commercial team’s overall strategy
- Manage the overall implementation of the CRM system to ensure the team is properly led to achieve and exceed goals
- Monthly and quarterly management reporting, including exception reporting
- Build relationships with clients and agency decision-makers to increase revenue potential
- Provide professional and exceptional customer service in all interactions with customers
- Manage weekly direct team SMT meetings as needed
- Speak to a direct team account executive
- Oversee all proposals sent to clients
- Innovative and proactive—spending time and energy on creative solutions to meet customer needs

- Minimum matrix
- Sales-related skills/qualifications such as negotiation skills, presentations and general sales skills are an added advantage
Required knowledge and experience
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of sales experience, preferably broadcast media sales experience
- Leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build high-level relationships
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Extensive business knowledge and extensive knowledge of the radio industry
