QMS, a leading digital outdoor company, today announced changes to its sales management structure to reflect the experience, skills and innovation needed to leverage the organization’s growth trajectory and accelerate its vision for the future.
The structure came into effect in February, with Tim Murphy joining the executive team in the new role of Chief Sales Officer, with responsibility for leading the sales function across the national QMS network, including the City of Sydney, to further streamline QMS’ focus. Solution-based selling.
Murphy is an accomplished and respected media executive with over 16 years of experience in the outdoor space, most recently serving as chief sales officer for oOh!media. He takes up his duties on Monday, February 5, 2024.
Alex Kerley continues as chief revenue officer, leading QMS’s national and state sales teams (agency, independent and direct), delivering exceptional customer service and driving revenue growth across the QMS portfolio.
As Executive General Manager, Mark Fairhurst will continue to oversee and manage the outstanding Sydney portfolio from a strategic business development, commercial and operational perspective, and will continue to be responsible for QMS’s trading functions, including partnerships, pricing strategy and analytics.
Finally, Sara Lappage will expand her current client-based operations role to take on the full responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer. In her expanded role, she will be responsible for the organization’s corporate operations functions as well as the marketing, research, strategy and insights teams.
QMS chief executive John O’Neill (main picture) said the changes were driven by the need to implement a structure to support this growth, driven by continued investment in digital innovation, strategic asset development and data-led creativity.

It is designed to position the quality management system for the long term, allowing us to adapt to changing market trends and embrace innovation.
