Outdoor media specialist QMS has announced major changes to its sales management structure, including the creation of the role of Chief Sales Officer, to be filled by Tim Murphy, who has departed from oOh!media.
The company said the changes will better reflect the experience, skills and innovation needed to leverage the organization’s growth trajectory and accelerate its vision for the future.
The structure came into effect in February, with Tim Murphy joining the executive team to lead the sales function across the national QMS network, including the City of Sydney.
Murphy has over 16 years of experience in the outdoor space, most recently serving as chief sales officer for oOh!media. He started working on February 5th.
Alex Kerley continues as chief revenue officer, leading QMS’s national and state sales teams (agency, independent and direct), delivering exceptional customer service and driving revenue growth across the QMS portfolio.
As Executive General Manager, Mark Fairhurst will continue to oversee and manage the outstanding Sydney portfolio from a strategic business development, commercial and operational perspective, and will continue to be responsible for QMS’s trading functions, including partnerships, pricing strategy and analytics.
Sara Lappage will expand her current customer-based operations role to assume the full responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer. In her expanded role, she will be responsible for the organization’s corporate operations functions as well as the marketing, research, strategy and insights teams.
Chief executive John O’Neill said the changes were driven by the need to implement a structure to support the development of this growth.
“This strengthened management structure enables us to maximize our next phase of growth. It is designed to position the quality management system for the long term, allowing us to adapt to changing market trends and embrace innovation,” he said.
“This is about fostering a culture of growth and excellence that enables us to meet new challenges, seize opportunities and ensure our and our customers’ continued success.
“These appointments, along with the wider executive team, will ensure we have the right leadership and great teams across the business to support this change.”
